Apr 16 2009 by Paul Wheelock, Flintshire Chronicle

MOLD Golf Club had a hat-trick of reasons to celebrate when Luke Jackson was unveiled as their new boys captain. Rising star Luke, 16, from Nannerch, drove into office and then toasted clubmate Adam Tuft, along with Padeswood & Buckley Golf Club’s James Moore, for their selections to the Wales Under 16s squad.
The call-ups came hot on the heels of the news that Mold’s junior section has been awarded the Golf Development Wales Club Accreditation Higher Award, making it one of the best in the country.
